There is not enough information regarding this subject, but this book does a great job of explaining what it is, and ways of dealing with it. I wish I could give it more than five stars.

I very much liked Mark Madison 's book. Although it's a short book with short chapters, it's full of very useful information for empaths. Every word in this book is true and gives empathy the best advice in pointing them in the right direction. Thank you.

Controversy has its appeal.Although Makerbot in its new corporate guise comes in for a fair bit of criticism, banning the book outright seem s to be a bit of an over reaction and is likely to only succeed in making the book more popular. While the author criticizes the company's move away from the open source ethos and questions whether a 3D printing manufacturer owning a 3D file repository is a conflict of interests, the sheer amount of information that he includes regarding his own Makerbot experiments is bound to drive 3D printer sales ever upward.It was great to see a book that included real examples of what I could be printing to make a printer pay for itself. Not many other books in this field are so clear cut in this area. I have not yet got around to buying a printer, but when I do I will certainly be exploring some of the fascinating income streams that are explored here. The book even inspired me to come up with a few ideas of my own.The other thing that surprised me about this book is its prescience. A lot of the predictions are already starting to come true. From the adoption of the new AMF format to Local Motors printing the first 3D printed car, this guy must have printed a crystal ball to be able to see so clearly what impacts this technology is having. Cannot wait to see if the rest of his predictions start coming true.

So here it is 100 years after Booker T. Washington's death. Here I am finally reading this classic wondering what took me so long to get around to reading it. I'm also wondering what is taking America so long to get over it's racial prejudices. Our bigotry and cruelty seems to come in waves in this country and right now is not one of our better times for some reason.Booker was wrong about some things. He was wrong about the KKK being gone for good. He was wrong about his belief in steady progress of race relations. He was also wrong about hard work always being rewarded. But that's easy for me to see now.He was right about his faith in the goodness of individual people, people who worked (with an ethic that shames us today), who studied, who served, who taught, who gave six eggs towards the building fund. People who gave money, and people who broke down barriers, thanks to bridge builders like Mr. Washington.This is an easy reading fairly quick book that was for me compelling and unforgettable. Mr. Washington no doubt anticipated more white people than blacks reading this book (at least initially), for the simple fact that more whites than blacks could read, and afford a book. As a college president (and founder) and by default a racial ambassador, he also nobly and deftly kept the book positive and heaped plenty of praise onto many. I don't believe he saw the world through rose colored glasses. Plenty of others would criticize our greed, injustice and prejudice. And criticize him too. Booker looked up. Thanks to him a lot more of us can too.

I was going to give this book 4 stars on account of the words are small. However the content is so BIG that I had to give it 5 stars! The man walked 500 miles to get to school and devoted his life to that of service. It just goes to show that we can truly overcome whatever obstacles are in our way if we have the endurance to walk to 500 miles. (figuratively in 2017) Let his story be an inspiration to us all. He worked to bridge the gap and not blame anyone or anything for his place in life. He rose above and we should all be inspired to do the same!

Washington was freed from slavery at the age of 9 by the Lincoln Emancipation Act during the terrible American War between the States. He had led a harsh, deprived life but had one of those great minds & souls that enabled him to overcome his past. Education was the path. He attended college. Working as a janitor to pay for it. His whole life, aided by generous, far seeing white people, this in the Deep South, was devoted to the education of black people. Eventually he founded the famous Tuskegee College in Alabama. His tours of America to raise funds brought him fame, & the funds. Many of his speeches became famous all over America & beyond. This book is full of the determination, energy & love that one man showed to the world in some of the most troubled times America has seen. I hope everyone reads it.

I am sure I read Up from Slavery as a young person and have always been aware of Booker T Washington's success, philosophy, and the controversy concerning his support of industrial education. Reading now, a few decades later was quite enlightening especially in reflecting on the years after Washington's death when life in the South for former slaves did not seem to show that upward spiral that Washington expected. That is not a criticism of Washington but a sad reflection on how blatant racism and unfortunate economic circumstances overwhelmed the good that he felt he had accomplished for "his" people and the South. On the other hand, the success of Tuskegee is all the more remarkable if one assumes things were even worse than Washington described in his life. I read the book this second time to look at cultural issues of the time and to get a feel for how Washington described and responded to the racism that seemed to be so detrimental to most southern blacks except possibly extraordinary people like Washington. While exceedingly diplomatic and politically correct, he obviously knew racism as well as anyone and made his negative view of it very clear despite almost entirely dwelling on the positives he saw or imagined while promoting the virtues of those in a position to support his cause or at least not hinder it.

James email came the day I was just finishing my last book so I did not have to look for something new, I ordered it immediately. It arrived yesterday and I read the entire book this morning. Within a little over the last month I have read every single book that James has out. His books are like have a really deep conversation with a very intelligent friend. I love all.This specific book is a mind warp. Proves, disproves then proves again, to come full circle. It's very hard to put into words how this book made me feel but it was very much that I did not want to put it down and seeing how I just finished it I need time to think about it. It will have me thinking beyond the mind.James respects your time by not making his books to wordy - long or going about in circles. You will be left with lots of motivation, inspiration and lots to think about. My life has changed alot since first starting his books. All the change has come from within myself but his words have been the triggers. He is not here to tell you the right or wrong way to live. He is here to crack open your mind. Lots of these “gurus” have good hooks to suck you in. A little truth can be a dangerous thing. Sure there is a supernatural power of thought but who or what is the “you” that will use it to acquire things?

I bought this because I liked his earlier book “How to Attract Money Using Mind Power” (despite my doubts that this author has accumulated very much wealth himself). I’ve read many spiritual books over my life, but found that this one did not resonate as particularly powerful or insightful. Despite the inexpensive price, I recommend saving your money and finding something else.

What I like about James Goi is his unique writing style. I find it original, sincere and powerful. I have enjoyed reading this book as well as The God Function, which I highly recommend.

Impactful and helpful to your mindset with tools for improving your life. A fast read.

This book is so much more than you can expect from a love story between a bodyguard and a redhead woman that i just love together and to say that i don't know who to choose as my favourite from these books and characters it's the hardest thing to do really.
The story carries on from the previous book when we met Genevieve as Calandra's personal assistant and Sawyer is one of the Luna and Associates security firm.
As always, the author has created a story where the former military men are in charge always and taking care of the woman in their life as well of the people around them is their to go every day in every situation.
When a dinner invitation goes wrong and unexpected situation comes up, almost everyone is there to help and protect, like a big family that will always protect and help.
Sawyer is swoony, he's s much of alpha as he is attentive and protector of the woman who messed his world with just a smile. He loves what he does and what he becomes and hates his inheritance.
Genevieve had a hard life and when she is in front of him, she's messy and never stops talking. But she is also strong and goes toe to toe with him for what she wants and what she believes
I loved that we get to see more of the other characters that are always there and my God, Talon made me laugh so hard that i will reread for the 5th time his book for sure.
There are some new faces, new characters that hopefully will have their books as well in the future because OMG that Preston guy !!! And Trigger !!!!
A story full of action, suspense, lust and love, exactly what you need and want from a great book.


Readers talk about book boyfriends, a LOT, but man, oh MAN! I would do almost ANYTHING to have Sawyer as a actual boyfriend.. . . . sigh . . . .The author has an absolutely awesome stable of Alpha Heroes & I am not shy to admit I love them ALL (although until Sawyer, Jared was my #1 man, but now Jared is my #1.5 man) but Sawyer . . . . I suppose everyone has certain things that just hit their buttons & Sawyer sooooo does. He just soooo does!!And it isn't that he's fabulously wealthy, it's his calm, his low key but INTENSE personality, his drive to be a better man, to have his life mean more than running a financial empire, to do something with his life that helps humanity. It's his ability to react calmly & decisively in an life & death situation, how he holds to his beliefs & principles, his Alpha persona & his absolute control. And his looks don't hurt either: muscled, tall, perfect posture, long strong legs, handsome.And then there's the skittish, clumsy, klutzy, nervous Genevieve who for some unknown reason, as far as Sawyer is concerned, attracts his interest & focus. Perhaps it is how she seems to need someone who is able to guide & control her (not in a ~controlling sense per se~), calm her down, slow her up & catch everything she drops before it shatters or breaks.And Genevieve is VERY attracted to Sawyer, so much so he makes her even more nervous, more klutzy, more babbly than she is ordinarily. Plus she just knows he is too perfect, too handsome, too muscular, too powerful & controlled to ever notice or be interested in her . . . .The author does a STELLAR job in fleshing out Sawyer & Genevieve, as well as their chaotic attempts to enter into a relationship. The reader gets peeks into both of their thoughts, gets to see how wrong they both are in their assumptions of the other & their (mis)understanding of circumstances & motivations.The author also does an excellent job in showing how Sawyer is drawn to Genevieve (IMO) because of her nervous & physically clumsy ways: he seems to inherently realize she would benefit from firm but loving guidance & yes, some externally provided control, & he wants to provide it for her. IMO Sawyer is like a dangerous, powerful & protective sheepdog that NEEDS to care for & protect those needing his strength & protection.But there are secrets that cause feelings of outrage, betrayal, anger that assault them both & fracture a delicate blossoming relationship into shards. Not to mention danger & potential death.All I can say is, although I have read ALL the author's books (& loved them), RUTHLESS truly hit virtually ALL my buttons for a hot & wonderful romance. I identified so much with Genevieve & Sawyer would be my IDEAL as a boyfriend, lover & mate. I was completely captivated for the entire book, smiling, laughing, hoping, worried & sad as Sawyer & Genevieve's story played out.I HIGHLY recommend this one for people who want a romance with a lot of emotional ups & downs, an awesome Alpha, a sweet heroine who has more steel in her than advertised & a little HOT & INTENSE sex.(I am going back to reread RUTHLESS now . . . .)

Ruthless had me captivated & clinging to my book from the beginning, and I did not put it down. I needed to know more about Sawyer and Genevieve. Sybil Bartel has a way of creating her stories and lives of the characters as such that you believe that you could meet on the street. I absolutely loved that Sawyer and Genevieve were not perfect individuals. They both had flaws because let's be honest no one is perfect or without demons. Sawyer and Genevieve are very much opposites. Sawyer is a bodyguard and is a total alpha male all the way. He loves control and order. Genevieve is a bundle of energy and nerves. She talks too much and drops everything. Genevieve has a lot of spunk and fight.I love a sassy heroine. Sawyer and Genevieve have amazing chemistry and tension. I experienced every range of emotion while reading Ruthless. I love all the feels (laughter, tears, etc) and is a sign of a great book in my opinion.
