Any nursing student knows that F&E's and acid-bases are the most difficult concepts to learn. I just wish I would have purchased this book before that exam..... This book breaks everything down in a way that is really easy to understand. After purchasing this book, I have bought the Med-Surg, Pharm, and Peds, and comprehensive NCLEX books to help me study for my classes. The practice questions are so beneficial and also will help you study for NCLEX. BUY THIS BOOK!!
I was a bit biased towards this book because my Fluid and Electrolytes professor was one of the writers/editors. It seemed like a no-brainer that she would pull test questions from the text. This almost should have been required for the course, not just recommended, as it really helps you put together info from your textbook. My only piece of advice-don't forget about the disk in the back of the book. The questions are more difficult, and probably better represent an NCLEX test.
Great reference
I have a few NCLEX books and the ones that really help are the ones with the rationales. Even if you do not know that answers, the books teach you the rationales on answering NCLEX questions and this helps you think like a nurse. These series of books are great and I highly recommend them for question taking.
This book is a must have for nursing school. Covers all your need to know info in F and E. I read this on break knowing that my first test in med surg. Although not an A test I do have an understanding of F and E.
I have so many different nursing books to help with understanding and these reviews and rationales I have found to be so helpful because they are like the cliff notes, or clinical companions but are on specific topics and are well laid out, easy to understand and include enough information to give you the whole picture.
My Clinical professor first lent me this book to study for an exam. It was soo useful I bought a copy for myself.
Back in 2006 Apple stopped using the people PC in its computers. This CD is from 2007 and does not run on intel processors that apple has used for 6 years now even though is states it runs on apple!What crappy quality control at Pearson!
